    • @ZeroFuelRequired
      @ZeroFuelRequired День тому

      @justadonut1 make sure you've got power going to your washer from the outlet. Double check a breaker didn't trip in the electrical panel or if the outlet is a GFI outlet that it didn't trip and shut off the power to the washer. If you didn't get lucky with the screws being loose. Were your screws on the lid loose to begin with? If they weren't, the switch could've failed. With the lid open, double check to see if you can hear the switch make a very quiet click sound when you carefully close the lid. Open and close it a few times, listening for a click. If you can't hear it, try pressing on the lid like I did in the video to see if it starts the washer. There's a possibility the switch failed, or the metal arm got slightly bent from throwing something heavy on the lid. If it starts by pressing on the lid. Something is out of wack and you would have to unplug the washer and take it apart to fix it(bend something associated with the switch). Which is something i don't have a video for and if it's beyond your capabilities. You might have to call a repairman. This washer is one of the better direct drive washers made. A very reliable washer. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.

    Doing mine right now. I broke one of the ears off of my fuel regulator housing, so had to get another. FYI, Oreily's has the Dorman kit ( 904-458 was about $58 ) which includes the 2 o-rings, housing, internal parts, etc, and for kicks and grins, I looked up and Dorman also has the fuel shutoff kit as well ( 904-202 for about $32 ). Rock Auto also has an Ultra-Power one for $24. Good to know if the unthinkable happens!

    Great video! So, you put 35" wheels on. Is your Ford a 4x4? Do you think with a 2" suspension lift there would be no rubbing issue with 35"s? Alternatively, without a 2" suspension lift (so, in factory condition), would 33" wheels fit without rubbing issue? I like the new rims, what's the brand? Many thanks!

    • @ZeroFuelRequired
      @ZeroFuelRequired 6 місяців тому

      Factory rims and tires in the video that I replaced are approximately 33 inch they have plenty of room. The 2013 king ranch 20 inch rims & tires, the tires are approximately 35 inch in diameter. You need 2 inch hub centric spacers on all 4 wheels to run the newer rims. This video my Excursion is 4x4 with the original springs and ride height. The modifications I made to the bottom edges of the bumper and the back of the wheelwell plastic gave plenty of room for clearance. A 2 inch suspension lift would probably give plenty of clearance. Since I made this video I've replaced the springs front and rear because a front spring had break a leaf. I found a set of F-250 4x4 offroad springs front and rear used for $100. Installed they raised my Excursion almost 4 inches over the height you see in this video. If you upgrade your wheels and install 2 inch spacer you have to shorten the all studs on the axles so they don't touch the rim or drill out the back of the rim a little bit so they don't touch the rim. Sounds silly but when the spacers are installed the orginal studs on the axles sticks out a fraction of an inch. Putting the rim on tight the rim stops on the studs and doesn't mate with the spacers. The the rims are floating on the original axle struds and will weaken the studs on the spacers, breaking and possibly losing a wheel going down the road. You'll see. After that's fixed torque the spacers abs torque the rims. Drive 50 miles. Take the rims off check the torque on the spacers. Put the rims back on and torque them. Recheck the rim torque in 50 miles. Every tire rotation, when you rotate the rims & tires, torque them, run 50 miles and recheck the torque. I've done this for years and never had a problem. I regularly tow 8500 lbs. I hope this helps and good luck.

      Check the fuse. Does it have power? Is it turned on? Check if on incorrect input. Is there sound, like it's playing, but the screen is blank? Try shining a flashlight into the screen to see if there is an image that's playing. My manual say to check the follownig fuse locations at the Central Junction Box: 32 (20A). 11 (20A). 42 (15A). 16 (15A). Other than that it's a diagnosis for different points and the voltages. Might have to pull out the front stock stereo and make sure both plugs are connected and secure. Pull the overhead down to gain access to the back of the DVD/media center to double check the harness plug/s in and secure.. One minor point, are you trying to activate the system with a remote control? If so, are the batteries good? It's difficult to diagnose over the internet. If this is beyond your capabilities, replacement with a working unit or upgrade to something else might be an option. Check these things and Let me know how you make out.

    Buen video yo le hice todo ese servicio al vaso de mi 7.3 porque le mandé a dar servicio a los 8 inyectores todo le cambiaron de adentro y de afuera los puse y le di marcha al principio en lo q cargaban pues se oía extraño de ahí poco a poco se fue normalizando y se oía serenito el motor pero ya que calentó la saqué a recorrer unos 15 km ida y vuelta y resulta q se le oye un golpeteo al motor alguien me podría orientar que será que provoca ese ruido
